Wow Don! Your music is awesome!
Your voice is so smooooooth. I can’t wait to hear what comes out of the studio next. Air time in Vancouver BC, Dayton Ohio & Phoenix, AZ…even though you can’t actually hear yourself on the radio, isn’t bad either.

A book I dreamed I read is my favorite right now. Thanks for making such great music!

Chiho Aoshima – Only around until Oct. 4th!
It’s at the Henry Art Gallery. They always have thought provoking art. Not a lot of it but a sweet sampling.

Need help with a color scheme?
This might help! It gives you a LOT of options so be prepared. What a cool idea though. When I was teaching ID, I had a hard time explaining the color scheme identifier on the back of color wheels. Still fun though.

The Color of Life exhibit at The Getty
I know that the pyramids were painted bright colors which tends to make me rethink what I think about them. This exhibit shows sculptures from antiquity (and one modern) with some color shown. I find it interesting that we think of all ancient sculpture as being so bland when it really wasn’t.

Color…color…color!
I just love this article on color in wikipedia…it reminds me of those science books we had around the house as a kid. I’m not sure where we even got them since they seemed old then. They used to show optical effects and stuff like that. I think I still have one! Yep! I couldn’t find it online so I had to scan it.

Hey did you know St. Louis might be abandoned?
We were just there a few months ago and it didn’t look THAT bad… Are they exaggerating? I hope so!

Does a felt tutorial get any better than this?

I’m not sure this is right…
I’m always interested in color and this site is no exception. I was reading about the information on bubble-gum pink.
I have to find the source that refutes this information. I read it about 6 years ago so I’m going to have dig deep but this is not entirely true. It worked like that for short bursts of time (such as locker rooms and that kind of thing) but jails are a different story. They did a longer study than the one she is talking about and pink made the inmates crazy after long exposure. Say longer than 20 minutes (if I remember correctly) . The prison personnel were noticing this so they performed a more complete study (probably with the inmates…
) and found that it has a reverse effect over time. I’m off to find that study article…I hope.

Here is the site
PS I added the archives
If you find something not working there (besides the links cuz they’re old) – I’m the one you complain to.
